Fun and fast race! Course was a little boring because we basically just ran a big circle around the JCC property. Very warm weather and very sunny which was surprising for Thanksgiving and the week prior it had been pretty chilly. Mickey slept in so no fans at this race either but I'm kind of getting used to it. Still, a race is hands down more fun and memorable is you run with friends or family or have some fans there.
Registration was quick and easy and parking was really organized considering how many people participated in this race. (730 people total!) The tee shirt is awesome, mens fit but still a nice tech tee black with a little turkey on the right chest area. Lots of water, juice and snacks were offered before and after the race which I took advantage of after right before I hurried out of there to get to work.
Overall, fitness wise I felt okay. I had trained for about a month for this race so I could have used a few more weeks but I still felt good. This was the first 5k I never walked so even though I did not pr I still feel proud I ran it all the way.
Chip time was 34:07, 21 in my age group, 236 woman, 444 overall. Like I said..large race! I'm not used to seeing my numbers so high!
I would suggest this race to anyone living in Boca or close by. The entry fee was normal, around 20-25m there were so many volunteers that everything really ran smooth, snacks and the shirts were very nice. You can tell they did not cheap out on either which I think most people would appreciate. Expect a crowd and a tight start right on a curve.
Here are some pictures I took from the Levis JJC facebook page. All credit goes to them. I could not find any of me but there was only one photographer so I'm not surprised!

Cute Turkey spirit! I almost dressed up like an Indian and I am kind of glad I did not...I think these five people out of the whole race were the only ones dressed up.
