I meant to write this last week...but I've been busy! And now it is already the 10th of December.
The whole idea I had behind this post was to take moments during the rush of December to savor whatever you are doing, for most of the activities we do this month come once a year.
Special foods and sweet we make, thoughtfully choosing gifts for loved ones, hand written notes to friends, witnessing a first snow (if you're lucky), seeing family you may not see frequently, taking pictures, receiving pictures in the mail, decorating oh the decorating, wrapping paper and pretty bows, but most of all just being together with the most special people to you.
I am trying hard to take my own advice and thankfully have done most of my shopping, letter writing and decorating in advance and at my own pace. I never want to be one of the strung out, rushing people always worried about getting that perfect present at the last moment or overwhelmed with the vanity parts of the holidays like not getting new decorations or the pricier gifts...I love making homemade!
I know its not for everyone but at least take time and really remember to savor the most important parts rather than breezing through this fabulous month!
